Atrial Fibrillation VA Disability Rating
Atrial fibrillation (paroxysmal or persistent) rates under DC 7010 based on attack frequency over the past year. Continuous AF with documented anticoagulation requirement typically rates 30%. Often secondary to hypertension, hyperthyroidism, or chronic alcohol use disorder.
Rating criteria
| Rating | Criteria |
|---|---|
| 10% | Permanent atrial fibrillation OR 1-4 episodes per year. |
| 30% | More than 4 episodes per year of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation/flutter documented by ECG. |
