Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-27

Scope: United States only. VetDisabilityCalc is operated from the United States and intended for U.S. residents. We do not target or solicit users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other non-U.S. jurisdictions. Visitors outside the U.S. use the site at their own discretion; this policy describes U.S. privacy law compliance only.

This policy describes what VetDisabilityCalc collects and how that data is used. The site is operated independently ("we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to the terms below.

What we do not collect

The combined rating calculator runs entirely in your browser. The ratings, conditions, and dependent information you type into the calculator never leave your device. We do not transmit, store, log, or analyze any input you provide to the calculator. There is no account, no signup, and no email collection associated with using the calculator.

What we do collect

When you visit the site, our hosting provider (Netlify) and our analytics providers receive standard web request data:

This data is used to measure aggregate traffic, debug broken pages, and improve the site. It is not associated with you personally and is not sold to third parties.

Cookies and third-party services

The site uses the following third-party services. Each sets cookies or stores data per its own privacy policy:

Your California privacy rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (Cal. Civ. Code §§1798.100 et seq.) gives you the following rights with respect to personal information we hold about you:

To exercise these rights, email info@vetdisabilitycalc.com with the subject line CCPA request — [know / delete / opt-out]. Include enough information in the body for us to verify your identity (an email address you have used on our site, the approximate date range of your visits). We respond within 45 days of receipt per Cal. Civ. Code §1798.130(a)(2), with a one-time 45-day extension when reasonably necessary.

Browser opt-out signals (GPC)

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a verifiable CCPA opt-out request as required under the California Attorney General's enforcement guidance (Cal. Code Regs. tit. 11, §7025).

Children

The site is intended for adult U.S. residents and addresses adult-only subject matter (VA disability compensation). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, email info@vetdisabilitycalc.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. We encourage you to review the policy periodically.
