Cervical Radiculopathy VA Disability Rating
Cervical radiculopathy (nerve root compression in the neck causing arm symptoms) rates under DC 8510-8519 based on the affected nerve root (C5-T1). Each side rates separately; bilateral triggers the 10% bilateral factor under 38 CFR 4.26. Secondary to cervical spine conditions in most cases.
Rating criteria
| Rating | Criteria |
|---|---|
| 10% | Mild incomplete paralysis. |
| 20% | Moderate incomplete paralysis (minor extremity); 30% (major). |
| 40% | Moderately severe (minor); 50% (major). |
| 70% | Complete paralysis. |
