Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) rates under DC 6354 based on the degree to which symptoms restrict routine daily activities. Gulf War undiagnosed illness presumptive under 38 CFR 3.317 for veterans deployed to Southwest Asia from Aug 1990.

Rating criteria

RatingCriteria
10%Symptoms wax and wane but result in periods of incapacitation of at least 1 but less than 2 weeks total duration per year.
20%2-4 weeks total duration per year, OR symptoms controlled by continuous medication.
40%4-6 weeks total duration per year.
60%6 weeks total duration per year, OR symptoms restrict routine daily activities to 50-75% of pre-illness level.
100%Symptoms nearly constant and so severe as to restrict routine daily activities to less than 50%, OR symptoms incapacitating for at least 6 weeks total per year.
