Eczema VA Disability Rating
Eczema (atopic dermatitis) is rated under DC 7806. The schedule considers BOTH the percentage of total body area affected AND whether systemic therapy is required. Veterans on long-term immunosuppressives for eczema often reach the 60% bracket.
Rating criteria
| Rating | Criteria |
|---|---|
| 0% | Less than 5% of body area affected, no medication required. |
| 10% | 5-20% of body area affected, OR topical therapy required for less than 6 weeks per year. |
| 30% | 20-40% of body area affected, OR systemic therapy required for less than 6 weeks per year. |
| 60% | More than 40% of body area, OR constant or near-constant systemic therapy. |
